The 1st episodes of Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ 20th and final season aired on March 18, 2021. Since 2007, the show is running on E! is finally coming to a close. It was announced in September 2020 that the show would come to an end. As per sources, no date of reunion has been planned yet. In a joint statement, the family shared, “It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Keeping Up with the Kardashians.” They also shared that it has been 14 years, 20 seasons, and several spin-off shows, the family has decided to end the show.

The teaser for this season sees matriarch Kris Jenner announcing that this will be the last season for the show and the entire family burst into sobs. In the end, it showed Kim undoing her microphone in slow motion for the last time. At the beginning of the season, new family footage is interspersed with old home movie footage. On her 1st day in school, when Kim was in 8th grade, three older sisters swimming in the home pool, and Kris pregnant with Khloé.
In December 2020, the family made a deal with Hulu in which the family will create global content for the platform. It is difficult to say at this point how much the new show will be able to match the old show Keeping Up With the Kardashians. As per sources, it not clear till now if the new show will include a docusoap. The show’s format will be the same as the previous show is also not clear till now. Even if the show Keeping Up With the Kardashians will no longer be there, the family’s reality TV empire will still go on.
In 2007, when the show started, it was considered ok to remark on popular things. The pop culture commenters spoke about Kardashian classlessness and their lack of talent, even with great interest accepting the spectacle of their lives.
